We have got a BIG weekend coming up! First we pop down to see Sweat X play their first ever gig in Europe at Fonteyn's Computer Blue (Bar Music Hall, Curtain Rd, E1), then its off to move the crowd (Sweat X in tow) at the jump off that is Magic Circle (Egg, York Way)...just when you thought is was all over we journey up to The Aquarium for the re-birth of the messiness that is Redlight Afterhours.

Saturday sees us play alongside Sweat X (again), Punks Jump Up and David Wasserman at The Old Blue Last (Gt Eastern St)....phew, see you in the gutter!

Daft

There are some amazing electro house bootlegs simply titled 'Daft Mixes', the one of Groove Armada 'Get down' is the best song I have heard for ages (I'll post it in a bit, I'm still too attached to blog). I don't know where these bootlegs are originating from (if anyone does, please let me know)....

This is a mix of Eric Prydz's mix of Pink Floyd's 'Proper Education' and is dirty-filthy....

Proper Education (daft mix)

Enya's Fade away has become a bit of a unlikely hit and has been bootlegged a lot recently --- I made this edit bout two years ago (believe me or not I don't care).
It's a really simple mash up between the original and Buccaneers version, I used to end the night with it... nice long intro... and then ragga ragga ragga... bo bo bo

enya fades away mp3

Oliver $ kindly gave us a amazing mix- it's jackin', it fidgets and blew my socks off...

you should defiantly check out his Hot Flash2 EP that's out on Grand Petrol- been playing it non stop for the last month or two.....

Ever get that excited feeling?

Fidget House music makes me happy. This song especially so, it's from up and coming Dj- Gem the Brave's younger brother Joshua. It has heavy bass and a groove that makes your teeth itch..... what a family!

Joshua-buzz from the biz

Hip hop doesn't normally touch me but the Cool Kids are blowing me away at the moment. Imagine Boogie Down Productions stuck in a lift with the Neptunes and Snoop Dogg

Cool Kids- Black Mag

PS: sorry.... wrong mp3 posted.... fixed

Dr. Switch & Mr. Portamento- B2 from their untitled EP out on Clone. A dark slab of disjointed electro, perfect for doing the washing up to or practising your 'Robot' or washing up in the style of a robot

Dr. Switch & Mr. Portamento- B2

When Gangsta Rapper DMX isn't busy insulting us crackers- apparently him and some of his mates make spaced b-boy style breaks with amazing keyboard solo's- nice.

Dmx Krew - Ready to roll

When the week gets too much take one of those pills you nicked off you granddad when he was very unwell and listen to Prefuse- you'll awake feeling much much better

Prefuse 73 - Matrimoniods

If I ever perfect my hypnotism technique and convince a lady to marry me, I want the sermon read out in the style of vocals in this track. I particularly like the shout out to the guy who makes the tea and coffee

Giorgio vs Talla 2xlc -emc2

PS: If you like any of this go and buy it!!!!!

This has a habit of splitting the dance floor- half are pumping their fists and the other half have grimaces at the horror of Kaiser chiefs vocals (something I can relate to)
It still remains a bit of old favourite of mine though. The song builds for about half a century before breaking into Boys Noize trade mark distortion. If this were the 90's and I had a pony tail I'd call it a 'BANGER'

Kaiser Chiefs - Everyday I love you less less Boys Noize mix

Welcome to your week. I don't like Mondays either. But here is some good, scratch that, FUCKING GREAT news to bring a smile to your face.

Remember we posted something about Sweat X a few month ago? About how they were amazing and we wished they would play a show over here? Dream.Come.True.

Sweat X present the 'Go Black Go Low Go Fast' tour...with not one, but FIVE chances to see them over here (they also play Paris, CPH, Belgium and a whole lot more). Obviously, the best party will be Get Rude where they appear with Fake Blood and Isa GT.

So yeah, listen to this, I defy you not to get exxxcited!

Sweat X - Nu Flex Cowabunga Mix

Dizzee Rascal's new album was very disappointing by and large- however you can argue with pussy hole and Dj Mike B's edit even makes it Dj freindly whooo,.....

Dizzee- Pussyhole (mike b's edit)

I love you Claude- please move from San Francisco to London so I can court you in a Victorian manner with chaperones, parasols and petite coats.

Claude Von Stroke- Birdshit Remix of Frankie Bullshit

On the love topic- one for the producers- just found this hard to come by acapella-

Donna summer - I feel love

Dug up a lot of my old Miami bass for a mix I've just done (watch this space)- two tracks for you:

1: Ring my phone Shantell and Dwayne- two kids rapping over a heavy 808 beat with crazy TV samples - can't go wrong-

ring my phone shantell dwayne

Sleeze Boyz - Z.O.I.D.S. A bit of drum machine sexy space bass- macho, sexist and amazing

Sleeze Boyz - Z.O.I.D.S.

If you wanna read more bout Miami hit up Electro Empire

Armand Van Helden - I Want Your Soul (Fake Blood Remix)

It's Baile Thursday today, the sun is out and I have been staring at a computer screen all dizzay. Heres a few Baile tracks from the 'good old days' before everyone went on this crazy hyper cut and paste tip. Baile is not a fashion.

Parisian socialite and all round good looking dude Shino hooked us up with his version of that 20 Fingers classic 'Short Dick Man', love it or loathe it, the original gets people dancing and smiling quickfast. Shino has updated the track with crunk synths and half time beats...sure to get the popozudas moving.

Shino - Short Dick Man

and heres the (censored) video for the original...

20 Fingers - Short Dick Man

We recently played after our favourites the Crookers at Magic Circle, their new stuff is sounding absolutley crazy....more techno-y, more house-y, more hypnotic-y, just really fucking rad-y (keep em peeled for hot exclusives right here). Phra introduced me to this dude Clark Able, and we since pestered him for a track or two. Lemonhead comes on like 'Flat Eric's' mature, jacking older brother...big bassline, cut-up vocals and non-stop beats. This is perfect for a 3am slot in some warehouse. Stoops.

Clark Able - Lemonhead

Oh and while we are on the subject of really talented fidget producers...The Bulgarian shows no sign of letting up. He hit us up with 'Into The Groove', a sort of fidget meets acid experiment. Starts off all bleepy and stuttered and then blasts into heavy bass territory. Be sure to keep an eye out for The Bulgarian's EP out soon on On The Brink Records, I've heard it and it's well worth buying, homeboy hits our soil in August this year, be on the look out.

The Bulgarian - Into The Groove

So yet another bank holiday falls upon us and yet another list of great things to do comes about....this weekend you should be
here and here.

Mama Shamone and Hannah Holland form like Voltron for the hottest party this summer...featuring none other than our favourites Tetine!

And.....the night before that there's a rare chance to see the dude Bo Bliz (he of White T's and White Belts fame) alongside Patchwork Pirates, Gigolo Knight and Smutlee.

What.Are.You.Waiting.For.?

There's something almost endearing about Diddy...he's like the brother that always tried his hardest but never quite got it. I feel a little sorry for the dude, he drops in and out of genres and subcultures, shouts over hot tracks (remember the Felix track)made by talented producers, realises he actually isnt good enough and then heads off to Monaco to party with James Blunt. What a wierd existence.

I dont, however, pity Booman. Homeboy is a mainstay on the Baltimore Club scene, he started DJing at 11, has been a producer and engineer for Unruly (he made 'Watch Out for the Big Girls' godammit) and has remixed Michael Jackson as well as pumpin' Doo Dew Kids to death.

Anyway, the two met over the 'Get Off' remix....Booman adds perfect bmore finesse to Diddy's insane ramblings (cocaine anyone?). Now go and show some love.

P. Diddy - Get Off (Booman Remix)

Massive thanks goes to everyone that made GET RUDE on Saturday the stupid def jump off that it was...extra thanks goes to JPEG, CASPER C and GIGOLO 'THE MIXX' KNIGHT for doing a well decent job. Next one is June 9th baby....

This Friday is yet another jump-off, here is the blurb....

Magic Circle kick off their monthly residency at Egg with a diverse mix of DJs, live bands, visuals and cheap drinks. Joining MC residents John and on and on and Marc Miller is Baile funk maestro Sinden, Italy’s (soon to be huge) The Crookers and local favourites Skull Juice and Zombie Disco Squad.

Upstairs in the live room things get a bit more grimey with French lover Orgasmic (TTC) supplying the beats alongside Team Megamix, Nemes and the lovely CocknBull Kid. Live music comes courtesy of The Bleeps, who’ll be celebrating the launch of their new single. Plus more live music from the likes of Niyi and Goldielox, and a special electro set from Adventures Close to Home.

The loft is hosted by the infamous Buster Bennett (Anti Social) and his brand new Next Level party. Expect a mix of live PA’s and anything goes music.

Probably the best video ever made....

This Saturday sees the welcome return of our residency GET RUDE....this week sees us teaming up with the ever present CASPER C (Fluokids), DJ GIGOLO 'THE MIXX' KNIGHT and J-J-J-JPEG! The unusual mix of Baltimore Club, Garage, Electro, Italo, Ghetto House and Booty Bass can be heard (for free) at the very sensible Catch Bar, 22 Kingsland Rd, London. Also keep em peeled in the future, we are playing host to a certain South African electro-rap duo...fresh on these shores.

So the great Danny Boy Haaksman got in touch, he runs the superlabel Man Recordings which is putting out the incredible 'Funk Mundial' Series (last one was by Sinden and Count of Monte Cristal and was a banger langer). It turns out Milano fidget blog hype men The Crookers are doing the next (make sure you come see us playing with them at The Egg in London, May 18th!), and its sounding real good. Aside from new material from The Crookers and Brazilian MCs Leka and Dandao, it also includes the classic (is it even old enough to be a classic?) Atomic Baile Boy and acapellas to mess with....whats more its on green vinyl, mmmmmm. Out in June dudes.

Here is 'Para De Gracinha' featuring MC Leka

Had to give this one a shout. Styleslut goes hard this weekend at the hell hole that is 93 Feet East.

I don't care...SO_ME is a genius.

To wet your appetites we updated and uploaded the last 10 Minutes of Baile Funk Mix, the new mix has some great tracks from Sandrinho, Helinho and our favourite madman Edu K. Turn the bass up, slip into a pair of flip-flops and get your grind on.

Zombie Disco Squad - 11 Minutes of Baile Funk

It was only a matter of time, Baile Funk goes Rave! .....Edu K is back with a brand new style and a brand new hair colour, he sent us this in the mail today.'Rave Zombie' (how apt) was made from an old track which I believe was called 'Do the Zombie' (or something) and is as hyperactive, speedy and crazy as the man himself. Mr. K has a whole bag of these new tracks (trust us, we've heard them) and looks set to slay the nu-rave kids with his new Supa Punk Deejay persona. Watch out dudes.

Edu K - Rave Zombie

Dan Haaksman's Man recordings = The BEST

On Funk Alemao Sany Pitball takes Kraftwerk samples some big drums and the energy of the Favela to create what has been described as "post Funk". His production skills really shine and hold on to ya hats cos #2 of the Baile Funk Masters is out April 9th.

DJ Sany Pitbull- Funk Alemao

Sinden and The Count of Monte Cristal (Josh Herve) have teamed up to create a Rave-Funk-Garage hybrid that is like nothing I've heard before. It's got the classic Herve/Sinden signature bass heavy production with the chopped vocals of MC Thiaguinho and a amazing house piano that sounds straight out of the 90's...wow

Tamborzuda - Rave New World Mix

When I grow up I'm going to play parties like this. DJ Blaqstarr is a legend....hood born as they say.

I'd started to worry that Soulwax had fallen off, their recent remixes haven't grabbed me as much as they use to. This one reminds me of NY Excuse stage of their career, my favourite by the way.

Anyway here is their remix of some band called Klaxons, apparently they are spearheading a rave revival....don't see that catching on, do you? (Teefed off Risky Bizniz)

Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow (Soulwax Remix)

Now remember kids, this internet ain't only for posting the hottest new music around. It also serves the purpose of schooling dudes on the days gone by......Tyree Cooper is one of my favourite original chicago/acid guys ever, he did this track in 1988! It sounds like it could have been released just the other day, what with the off beat hook a la Booka Shade et al. Oh and yes he does have a myspace.

I defy you not to jack to this.

Tyree Cooper - Acid Crash

Here's the video for his 'Turn up the Bass' track....freshhhh.

Wu-Tanging is well old, make way for the new dance craze.

We had to show some love for this night....the line up is pretty damn decent. Am I the only one who thinks London is on fire right now?

Show me the person who doesn't want a AKAI after watching these.

dj felipe carvalho does it proper.....

MEGA MONSTER SUPER POST:

Ok First up we have Matthew Wowow's Night Train a rave baltimore highbred that has been heavy on my play list: It's got the sing sing break, a massive kick and chopped to fuck samples... It made me do the Locomotion...

Next up to bat, Is a kuduro ragga remix of TTC's Girlfriend: this song is HEAT and comes from the French Producer Stinj....

Double Good Swiss Dj's/Producers AudioPorno bring us their Top of The Pops mix, which alas I have no track list for but trust me it KILLs Deadly

G-A-R-A-G-E...

how did we not already do a post on this.... Anyone who's been banging their head to Dubsided,Counterfeet,Duke Dumont and bass line heavy house owes a big thank you to UK-G.

tracks:

forum snap - the power ypnosis bassline remix

A bass heavy dirty monster sampling Snaps I've got the power. Put on your kappa and freak the fuck out

Bump N Flex : Got myself together

Shuffling beats with vocal and organ stabs building to a base line driven stompa

Songstress-See line women (todd_edwards_mix)

classic by cut and paste master Todd Edwards. Got a proper groove with bout a million little stabs and a euphoric vocal. rushes anyone?

We had the honour of playing All You Can Eat last night....was crazy fun (big yo goes to Jim for hooking it up). Tune of the night would have to go to Dre Skull and Juiceboxxx's 'Sweat', I'm all over this track at the moment. Its like hip house never went away. Dre's beats and house pianos match Juiceboxxx's crazy whiteboy raps...party music at its finest.

Juiceboxxx & Dre Skull - Sweat

And here he is going apeshit at some festival....homeboy is dope, book him now!

Here are a few things I have learnt whilst being on the Bleep Bleep Tour.....

1. Liverpulians mainly shop, fight and tell really, really funny jokes.
2. Leeds is all about Hadouken!
3. Birmingham is the grumpiest place I have been to.
4. Stoke-on-Trent is not actually a town, more like five towns quite near each other, each as bumpkin as the next.
5. Manchester is wet.
6. The best thing about touring is being able to visit TK Maxx in each city, boxfresh Air Max 180s for £29.99 anyone?
7. Sheffield is the proud parent of 'Niche' music. Niche grew from the club of the same in name in the mid 1990s (I remember always being too scared to go into the club when I was younger), it is a direct relation of Speed Garage and also goes under the name of 'Bassline House'..the beats are four to the floor, not twostep. It is tough! The scene is pretty new and mp3s are hard to come by (something we're working on kids). Heres a YouTube post (most of the tracks seem to be on YouTube aswell if you wanna go check out) of a track by Naughty Nick and Mr. Paleface.

Keep it locked here...tracks to come.

According to a very knowledgeable Brazilian I recently met Baile Funk superstar Edu-k wrote popozuda to mock the funk scene... Best bit of satire I ever heard......
This isn't the vid to Popozuda but the one to sexomatic cos I like it better

Marry me Billy.

Talking Heads-Psycho Killer- Live

Oh and another thing....A huge thanks goes out to Hannah Holland, Naomi//, Skull Juice and of course all the dudes who came down and made GET RUDE such a blast! The music flowed all night, smiles, hugs and thugs were in the building. Keep it locked for future GET RUDE line-ups, we are going to slay it this year. If you haven't done so already...go to the myspace and add us now!

So I'm in Leeds with this Myspace Bleep Bleep tour, hanging out, discussing whats the best neon colour with my dudes Hadouken, making the kids rock to baile funk, getting started on by 12 year olds with drink problems...the usual.

Still found time to show love though, and you know we love the gay-chav-reebok-socks-in-jeans-styles...this video is SO SO DEF! Boy racer action from gay Paris, DJ Medhi gets his 'Signatune' stretched and oomphed by the true king Thomas Bangalter.

Okay...so we're not the first to post this up, in fact we straight nicked it off the Risky Bizniz blog (which is a REALLY good Swedish blog....talking of Swedes....what is it with them and hot blogs? Dudes are like super music nerds when it comes to the fresh, new tracks).

Geordie dude Riton gets his latest '3am-in-the-morning-wonky-spaz-hit' refixed by the super talented Roman Flugel (half of Alter Ego, as if you didnt know). Mr. Flugel slows things down a little, supplying something less 'banging' than his usual fare. The track's insistent bassline provides a nice groove for the original hook to lay over....sounding almost 'italo' at some points.

Our next party is coming up.....dont sleep on this line-up, one of the best we have had yet. Go make friends.

Dear MC Sabrina,

I am writing to let you know I love you and I love your music. I often dream about us meeting, maybe getting together in Rio on the hilltop, I would look longingly into your beautiful brown eyes whilst you rapped violently in my ear like a crazed beast. Your gravelly tones get me through these dark days, your dancefloor power moves provide entertainment in my otherwise lonely and empty life. I love you Sabs, can I call you Sabs? Til then darling......

Your forever,
