watch out Bournemouth!

I made an edit of the RV track posted below, 14 minutes is fine and all if you are warming up at P Bar, but I have the impression it might be a liiiiitle too long for most peoples attention spans. I chopped it down to a much slimmer 7 mins and added a decent chunk to mix out from.......

Dear Miami Bass,

Im sorry its been such a long time, I have been trying to find the time to call or write but what with House and Techno demanding my attention so much these days its been impossible, and thats not to mention the energy it takes to keep up with that young Baile Funk! This is just a short note to say I still think of you, you are and will always be my number one, and I still, to this day, remember when we first met. I hope you return the feelings and one day we can get together and party like the old days.

Yours truly,

Lx

Seriously though, heres a super rare compilation that came out in 1989, made up of a bunch of Miami Bass and slower Rap stuff, interspersed with wierd vocal cuts from some 'Olde English' play or something.......very odd but very cool, if I could drive I would play this shit in my Nissan Micra aw day ayay day!!!!

Daniel Haaksman has got a new nickname, we call him the Haaksinator. Me and Beware are planning the cover art to his first full length album, its gonna feature Dan in a mocked up future dystopian scene, staring the viewer down, dressed up like Arnie. Thousands of robot-funkieros marching behind him, dancing to his music....hmmmm okay so this might not be true, but imagine how amazing that would look.

For now you can make do with the latest red-hot release on Man Recs, Danny boy releases his 'Gostoso' Ep on wax today, the digital drops on July 10th. Support the goddamn cause for good music and go buy this shit okay? To wet you appetite we have a sneaky track right here, complete with a rude sounding name.....

I still cant quite believe IZ THE WIZ is dead, he is one of my all time favourite artists ever.

Very rarely (and I mean VERY VERY rarely) something comes along on the internet that makes perfect sense, something that uses the internet to its fullest and truest potential. Its even more impressive when that thing doesnt try to sell you anything, but is simply for the fun and love of making music.

For those in Berlin this weekend, Sunday sees the third outing of the WMP Fashion Flohmarkt....a day of fun in the sun, including lots of bespoke vintage items for sale, a BBQ, drinks and music (by me and some others!). Come and S.P.E.N.D!

You gotta respect the dudes versatality! Edu K flips through styles as often as his hairdos! Whereas some fail and get shown up as try hards, Eduardo nails it pretty much everytime! From New Wave (his early band Defalla were big time in Brazil in the 1980's, thats him on the left up there!) through to Baile Funk pisstakes that turned into worldwide anthems, from Fidget-Rave-Prodigy-type boomers to where he is now, nice Latin inspired Minimally Click Clack House groovers. The guy KNOWS music and is a PRO, he is also one of the coolest, raddest most tatooed homedudes I have ever met. If I had it my way, he would live in my studio, constantly banging out anthems whilst I sat and stared in awe.

We have a Grumpy Broadcast exclusive here, fresh from the mans computer straight to your door. Hot and spicy!

Australia has been pretty fun so far, we have played Adelaide and Sydney, drank some wine with Emerson Todd, checked out the live vampire bats in the local park and bought a load of Chinese junk from the local market. We also managed to check out Jesse and Loco Dice at another party. Jetlag makes everyday sleepy and my body clock is still not right, luckily we can spend lazy days on Bondi Beach watching radical dudes catch 'tubes' and do gnarly stunts. In addition, EVERYONE seems to be on Mastiksoul over here.....wierd but super cool, it seems people are finally tiring of the electro noise here too. To celebrate, heres a nice straight Tech-House chugger from Steve Lawler.....

Singapore Slinger....

Hmmm, Singapore and Dance music.....I'm afraid I cant draw any decent comparisons here. I just emerged from an 11 hour flight from London, got another 5 hours wait until I board the next 10 hour flight to Adelaide. Luckily I get to sit and get posh shit served to me for free while I while the hours away in the BA First Lounge. Burning some CDs and I thought I would share this one. Mr. Safras re-uses the vocals he used on Catman, this time with trumpets!

AHAHAHAHA!

We got asked by Miss Mac to submit a minimix for Radio 1. We managed to fit 155 tracks into 5 minutes exactly (previous leader being 154), which, we believe, makes us ALL TIME SUPREME RULING WORLDWIDE UNDEFEATED LEADING CHAMPIONS! Not that we want to draw attention to that fact or anything. They asked for a theme, and, as you might probably be able to guess, its HOUSE music.....enjoy!

We recently played with Rachel at Filth in Leeds - she was very good and was kind enough to send us a mix.
Another interesting thing happened that evening. Lucas's grandma came to watch us play in the club, Alas I didn't have the opportunity to say hello, I think about a million drunk northern fellas did though. Poor granny, that can't have been fun.

Watch out for Rachel's debut production called 'who knows' it's coming out on Bll records soon. And you can watch her play on the 30th april at Amp which is at Koko in sunny london.

Went down to catch Paul Kalkbrenner and Sascha Funke last night. They played in Copenhagen cause a certain movie they both are in (Berlin Caling) was shown at the festival Cph Pix. Unfortunately I only stayed to see Paul K. My sour head couldnt take more after that. Straight up BIG room techno in it! So now I need something bit more mellow. Hope u will enjoy this wonderful house classic.
