Houston b-more freak Bird Peterson has made a killer remix of wu tang's Ain't nothin to fuck with.

Cut up lyrics, a heavy garage stab bass, sniper claps and shaolin sharp hats are gonna kill the dance floor from here to Tibet. POW TIGER STYLE

The Bulgarian has been a busy little bunny recently. Not content with making more minimal inspired tracks as Mr. Elastik, homeboy also gets jiggy wiv it. Tokyo Drift is a rework of Japanese hiphop nerds 'Teriyaki Boys'. The boys drip with Bape and rap in funny accents whilst playing up the 'ha-ha-we-aint-just-takeaway-guys' card (their debut album was called 'Beef or Chicken'). Anywaaaaaaaay, Bulga (my new nickname for him) has taken the original, stuck a marching beat on it and generally made it A LOT better. Blirriant, learry learry Blirriant.

Fidget House main man The Bulgarian sent us some new material. Loop Poop is a twisted maze of a track, harking back to the ol' Detroit Classic days, Over The Wall takes more of a relaxed disco angle, taking in Padded Cell like basslines and sweeping disco strings...something we weren't really expecting from our saffa bru, but it works really well and provides a nice opposite to the banging house music everywhere.

Speaking of 'banging house music everywhere'...just wait til you hear The Bulgarian's 'The Other Door', I haven't been this excited since Dave Taylor met P. Diddy.......you just aren't ready. Trust me. You. Just. Aren't. Ready

The Bulgarian - Loop Poop

The Bulgarian - Over The Wall

We'll be playing these, and more at our next Get Rude party, where we will be joined by the beautiful Miss Odd Kidd and The Round Table Knights. This Friday at The Social. Little Portland St. London. Come join us...it's FREE.

I've been hearing a lot of Rod Lee recently, DJ Phinesse put some new stuff on his new mixtape. Rod's classic track 'Dance My Pain Away' was one of the first Baltimore Club tracks I ever heard...its a nice sentimental track, regarding the stress-relieving properties of having a good old wiggle. He latest stuff is more concerned with f**king other dudes wifeys and explaining that just because he's up in the club shaking it, don't mean he aint ready to beat people up. Rod's sultry tones are on pretty much every track he makes....it's like hearing an old friend return after a long time.

My excitement for baile has been subsiding recently, apart from the Bonde Do Role stuff (which lets face it, is a tame and altogther more poppy version of true funk), I havent heard much that really grabbed me. So I sifted through the 'glamourosa' on one of my favourite funk sites and found these jems. Enjoy.

DJ Luciano Oliviera - Funk Carioca (Remix)
DJ Helinho - Dando Gueroei

Listen up kids. New Rave is not all dancing, day-glo and dead cool. One minute youre enjoying the mood enhancing properties of 'Adam', dressed up in your 'colourful clothes', chewing on your 'pacifier' (serious?) and the next you are facing 10-15 in the slammer. Put the air horns down and walk away. Now.

DJ Phinesse sent us a couple of club tracks. We checked him out at his website, check out his Baltimore Club Mix Vol.2 on the media page, damn near made me cry, so tough! We've got even more love for him because this track is all about getting your 'Wu-Tang' on....and us Zombies love to Wu-Tang.....to the left, to the right etc etc.
