I was contemplating making the image for this post a very attractive lady (riding her bike, most probably to the 'boulangerie' most probably to buy a 'baguette'), but then realised we would be like every other blog from here to Paris. Then I caught this in my new photos folder. Who is this man? Where is he from? What the hell is his name? He looks like I wish I looked....he wins a prize for being the MOST chilling dude in the history of everything. The guy was catching some shut eye in some stinky club while Phra from the Crookers was blasting out some of the loudest music I have ever heard in my life, that demands some respect.

When not chowing down to Won Ton Soup on Kingsland Rd, The Crookers rock clubs with their new tracks. Bugged Out played host to them on Saturday, and despite the fact that Lord Alkan was doing his dang in room one, homedudes got the plade jumping off! Highlights included their new remix of Armand Van Heldan's 'I want your Soul' (which should be out soon?) and this....one of the best songs I've heard all year.

So the great Danny Boy Haaksman got in touch, he runs the superlabel Man Recordings which is putting out the incredible 'Funk Mundial' Series (last one was by Sinden and Count of Monte Cristal and was a banger langer). It turns out Milano fidget blog hype men The Crookers are doing the next (make sure you come see us playing with them at The Egg in London, May 18th!), and its sounding real good. Aside from new material from The Crookers and Brazilian MCs Leka and Dandao, it also includes the classic (is it even old enough to be a classic?) Atomic Baile Boy and acapellas to mess with....whats more its on green vinyl, mmmmmm. Out in June dudes.

So it turns out one of new fidget heroes Crookers is also one of Milano's most very famousist writers of all time, somebody I remember checking out in graff mags AGES ago.
