Just forced myself to go into HMV, this was the only good thing they had for sale, unless you want three Kanye West singles for a tenner. Hugg + Pepp (aka The Dahlbacks) deliver nice housey-disco grooves with this track, I cannot front on those pianos (*plug* ones not unlike the pianos on our upcoming Gameboy/Gamegirl remix *plug*).

Great big stinking nosebleed electro from Jori Hulkkonen. This should be in your NYE playlist, does exactly what it says on the tin.

Jori Hulkkonen - Crowd, Get Ready to be Jammed!

Weezy Motherfuckin' Baby did a track with The Cool Kids? WTF? (Not like a 'bad thing' WTF, but like a 'where the fuck did that come from' WTF?) Why wasnt I informed? Really.....

Lilweezyanna comes through on this track, I'm not even going to go into his flows again, just check this for proof (NB: this is surely a sample version, Cool Kids with one verse each and Wayne with 4??)

Cool Kids - Gettin It (Ft: Lil Wayne)

They dont call him Busy for nothing. When not managing some of the music world's hypest dudes: Pedro smashes it with DJ sets, publishing companies and god knows what else (he is putting out the first ever book from our Belgian family 'ERS'). When we played with him in Copenhagen we were lucky enough to glimpse what makes him so 'special', little did we know his rider contained so many 'specific' points!

BUSY P'S SUPERSTAR INTERNATIONAL DJ RIDER
(and dont you forget it)

1/ You will receive a list of 100,000 records you CAN'T play before me. Please make sure the warm up djs got it.

2/Black Light is of course completely forbiden during my sets. I hate looking at girls with fluorescent green teeth!

3/I don't drink from Vodka bottles, I want a Vodka Fountain.

4/Make sure the Pioneer CDJs have never been touched by a Jungle DJ nor a Happy Psy-Trance addict.

5/and the, of course, the famous "everybody seat down" when i arrive behind the decks. Yes, i want the whole crowd to seat down and relax a bit. Then, after my 12 minutes long Shabba Ranks acappela intro, i'll drop the fonky beat and i allow them to dance.

Frankie has really been doing it for me lately, this track is from the 'Rawk' EP which you should go and cop from Beatport. Its got just the right amount of minimal versus just the right level of wonky, know what I mean?

Frankie - Valz

Me and my girly (hey girly) were watching T.V and this advert pops up, some deodorant thing with shitty graffiti styles all up in my face. She's all like "What's that song? I like that song." and I'm all like "Yeah, what IS that song?"

Turns out it's everyone's favourite pint sized bmore prince!....Who would've thought it hey?

Part Three

Thanks to everyone who came down to Get Rude on Saturday (Time Out No.1 Critics Choice above Fabric?!??!?), we packed the place out and everyone was agreed that it was the best of the year. A special thanks goes to the 23 (!) people that played on the line up, my set of the night goes to Mowgli, who despite jumping needles tore the house down with his stripped down house music.

(EDIT!!) This is coming up next Thursday! (EDIT!!) Its going to be nuts (Anda Da Bridge is one of London's greatest untouched venues and we are well jealous!) See you there.

I cant embed this, but it is well worth 6 measly minutes out of your day.

Following on from Claude Vonstroke's masterfull Essential Selection a few weeks back (it ranks as one of my favourite mixes ever), here is 'Last Train to Egypt' by the dude Christian Martin. It draws in some tech, some wonky, some minimal but all jacking house music. Keep those ears open for his insanely good remix of his brothers 'Ghetto Train' remix!

Is it wierd that I feel 'proud' of Kid Sister with this one? Look at her, all done up with a nice weave, dropped some pounds, got Kanye up in the video looking all cool adn whatnot. Bless their little cotton socks (to me, A-Trak will always look 13 though). YOU GO GIRLLLL!

Oh my gosh...Snoop Dizzle pretty much lays the music industry to rest with this one! Throw back hair, throw back babes and a throw back video (which, btw, was directed by DJ Eli's cousin...amazingly boring music biz fact for you there). His game is OUTRAGEOUS!

Snoop Dogg - Sensual Seduction

too much chicken soup???????

We played at Vega in Copenhagen with Busy P last night, we warmed it up nicely and got people shouting before Pedro smashed it with his usual Parisian flair. Warming up is good fun for us and we relish the opportunity of starting something from nothing (if you get what I mean). Don't get me wrong though, we got noisy....one track of the evening was definitley this one.

Deadmau5 Vs Jelo - The Reward is Cheese

p.s big thanks goes to Fredski, George and of course, Dan M (thats him above)
